Vosa closes another MoT station
The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency says its Llandrindod Wells Testing Station will close on 25 September 2009 as part of the agency's plan to improve efficiency. Vosa aims to replace old test stations with new, privately run authorised test facilities, under contract from the agency. Staff at Llandrindod Wells will move to neighbouring sites to do tests and Vosa says it will help customers make test bookings at other test sites. It will also run a customer seminar on 15 July in Llandrindod Wells to discuss the closure and future plans for testing in the area. "We want to provide a modernised, more efficient service for our customers," said Vosa boss Alex Fiddes, who believes that taking the agency's services to its customers will cut their downtime and costs.
